About Gold, Silver, to a New World...
Gold, Silver, to a new World... (Neo Genesis) kicks off the Neo Series in the Pokémon Trading Card Game and is a blast from the past with Pokémon Gold and Silver vibes. In Japan, it was known as Gold, Silver, to a New World... and was the first expansion in the Neo Era. Featuring Generation II Pokémon, it hit English shelves on December 16, 2000, and the Japanese version came out on February 4, 2000. Other languages joined the fun in February 2001. Neo Genesis brought some cool new features like the Darkness and Metal types and Baby Pokémon. It also introduced Pokémon Tool cards—special Trainer cards that you can attach to Pokémon in play, just like the held items from Pokémon Gold and Silver. Plus, Neo Genesis spiced up the card design with a fresh look: the Evolution box became circular, HP text turned black, Evolution Stages moved below HP, and Weakness and Resistance got a snazzy background graphic.
